【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofpavementsurfacedeflectionsasaresultoftheapplicationofanimpulseloadtothepavementsurface.Theresultingdeflectionsaremeasuredatthecenteroftheappliedloadandatvariousdistancesawayfromtheload.Deflectionsmaybeeithercorrelateddirectlytopavementperformanceorusedtodeterminethein-situmaterialcharacteristicsofthepavementlayers.Someusesofdataincludestructuralevaluationofloadcarryingcapacityanddeterminationofoverlaythicknessrequirementsforhighwayandairfieldpavements.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofdeflectionsofpavedandunpavedsurfaceswithafalling-weight-typeimpulseloaddevice.ThesedevicesarecommonlyreferredtoasfallingweightdeflectometersorFWDs.1.2Thistestmethoddescribesthemeasurementofverticaldeflectionresponseofthesurfacetoanimpulseloadappliedtothepavementsurface.Verticaldeflectionsaremeasuredontheloadaxisandatpointsspacedradiallyoutwardfromtheloadaxis.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.AspecifichazardstatementisgiveninSection6.
