【摘要】:Thisspecificationprovidestheminimumrequirementsfordesign,construction,performance,andtestingoftankventflamearresters.Thisspecificationisintendedforflamearrestersprotectingsystemscontainingvaporsofflammableorcombustibleliquidswherevaportemperaturesdonotexceed60?C.Thetestmediadefinedin9.1.1canbeusedexceptwherearrestersprotectsystemshandlingvaporswithamaximumexperimentalsafegap(MESG)below0.9mm.Flamearrestersprotectingsuchsystemsmustbetestedwithappropriatemedia(thesamevapororamediahavingaMESGnogreaterthanthevapor).VariousgasesandtheirrespectiveMESGarelistedinTable1.Note1-FlamearrestersmeetingthisspecificationalsocomplywiththeminimumrequirementsoftheInternationalMaritimeOrganization,MaritimeSafetyCommitteeCircularNo.373(MSC/Circ.373/Rev.1).Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportions,Sections8and9,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Thisstandardshouldbeusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterials,products,orassembliesinresponsetoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshouldnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.However,resultsofthistestmaybeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorswhicharepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse
